Science-based Targets in Accordance with the SBTi – Strategic Target Development and Submission

The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) offers companies a science-based framework for setting climate targets and developing greenhouse gas reduction pathways that are consistent with the 1.5 °C pathway to the Paris Agreement’s net-zero target by 2050.

FutureCamp supports you through the five steps of commitment, development, submission, communication and disclosure of science-based targets. In doing so, we take into account the applicable SBTi criteria, cross-sectoral and sector-specific requirements, as well as the question of whether additional FLAG targets for CO₂emissions from forests, land use and agriculture are required.

“We are observing that the SBTi is becoming an increasingly important driver of climate strategy for more and more companies—whether out of their own conviction, due to requirements from the value chain, or at the request of investors. Based on my consulting experience, the greatest value often lies not only in external communication, but in the structured process behind it: from GHG accounting to robust targets and reduction measures, all the way to climate pathways and continuous monitoring.”
