Due Diligence Obligations in
the Supply Chain

Effectively Assessing and Implementing Regulatory Requirements

Regulatory transparency and due diligence obligations are increasingly extending to companies’ responsibilities regarding human rights and environmental protection within their supply chains. The Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains (LkSG) remains in force; in the long term, it is set to be replaced by a German implementing law for the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), the European Supply Chain Act. At the same time, regulations such as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) are leading to additional reporting and due diligence obligations.

We support you with keeping track of relevant requirements, assessing your exposure and identifying gaps in existing processes. This enables you to ensure compliance and make your supply chain transparent and traceable.

“Due diligence obligations in the supply chain are no longer merely a legal issue for many companies, but a matter of robust processes and clear lines of responsibility. It is crucial to assess regulatory requirements such as the LkSG, CSDDD or EUDR at an early stage, to realistically review existing structures and systematically close any gaps. This creates transparency that ensures compliance whilst also strengthening trust among customers, business partners and suppliers.”
