Product Life Cycle Assessments – Life Cycle Analyses

Product Life Cycle Assessments and Product Communication

Companies are increasingly required to provide product-related environmental information where evidence is requested: in tenders, in response to customer enquiries, for Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) or to meet future requirements under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) with the Digital Product Passport.

A product life cycle assessment prepared using the methodology in a correct way provides the basis for this: it shows where relevant environmental impacts arise, which data is reliably available, and what opportunities exist for product development, procurement, production and communication.

FutureCamp supports you with a product life cycle assessment (LCA) in accordance with ISO 14040/14044. If your focus is on greenhouse gas emissions, we prepare a product carbon footprint in accordance with ISO 14067.

Life Cycle Assessments: Evaluating Environmental Impacts from Cradle to Grave

Life cycle assessments (LCAs) evaluate the environmental impacts of products, services or processes along the entire life cycle – ‘from cradle to grave’. Impact categories such as the greenhouse effect, acidification, eutrophication, resource consumption and soil contamination are considered. This allows product comparison, identifying hotspots of negative impacts, optimizing supply chains and avoiding an undesired shift of environmental impacts.
