Carbon Dioxide Removal Consultancy
Your partner for Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) – Science-based and Innovative
The EU’s climate targets will only be achieved if existing greenhouse gas sinks are preserved and expanded, and new sinks are created. Alongside nature-based approaches such as afforestation, peatland restoration or increasing soil organic matter , technical CDR processes followed by CO2 storage–such as biochar, BioCCS (Bio-Energy Carbon Capture and Storage) or DACCS (Direct Air Carbon Capture and Storage) – are increasingly coming to the fore. The European Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming Regulation (CRCF) establishes an EU-wide voluntary certification framework for CO2 removals, carbon farming and the storage of carbon in products.
We support you in assessing the potential for CO2 removal (CDR) and identifying concrete steps for implementation.

Capacity Building on the EU CRCF
You are planning a CDR project in accordance with the EU Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming Regulation (CRCF) and wish to understand the regulatory requirements? We explain the types of projects covered by the EU CRCF and how permanent and temporary CO₂ removals must be designed, validated and verified in accordance with the methods set out in the Delegated Acts. We also outline the role played by certification schemes and accredited verification bodies.
Use of CO2 Removal Certificates
Where can CDR certificates be used? What conditions must Certificates of compliance meet in order to be used as a ‘contribution to the EU climate target’ (target contribution) under the CRCF? How must removal certificates from other standards be reported in accordance with the regulations, for example within the framework of reporting systems such as the CSRD, to achieve climate neutrality targets in accordance with ISO 14068-1 or net-zero targets in accordance with the SBTi?
CDR Project Development
We support you at every stage, from the feasibility study through the preparation of project documentation to monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV). This applies to carbon farming projects as well as to technical processes or the permanent storage of CO2 in biochar, BioCCS or DACCS.
